The Qld Chapter of the Australian Aerobatic Club is conducting the Qld aerobatic championships at Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield from 23 through 26 August 2023. Friday 25 and Sat 26 will be best days to see competition flying.
You and your pilots and students and staff members of your school and the Flight Youth Engineering students and their families and friends are very welcome to call into the airfield by road or air to watch. The AAC Qld clubhouse will be open with tea and coffee and cold drinks available.
A Head Office NOTAM will be in place and an Advisory Service – “ Watts Advisory” will operate on CTAF during times the competition flights are active. Normal CTAF procedures apply for visiting aircraft.

Flight Youth Engineering was at the St.Columbans College "Explore your future night". To showcase the work the students have completed on Aircraft 1. It was a great turnout from students and parents alike.

The limited edition Rotax 912is engine has been mounted, Empennage permanetly riveted to the fuselage, wings fitted trimmed and ready for the paint shop. A few more good sessions and we will be ready for the final fitnout and paint.
Aircraft 2. The empennage kit has arrived and was checked tonight in preparation for its commencement.

Meanwhile Aircraft number 1 is coming along with the electrical wiring harnesses for the avionics and engine. We are looking to having this one flying in the next few months.
